1000M Chicago has received a Preservation Excellence Award from the Chicago Department of Planning and Development. As the tallest building ever constructed within a Chicago Landmark District, 1000M demonstrates how a modern high-density development can thoughtfully coexist with Chicago’s architectural heritage. Designed in response to the Historic Michigan Boulevard District, the tower carefully steps upward toward taller buildings to the south while respecting the established scale and character of its historic surroundings, showing how landmark districts can continue to evolve while honoring their legacy.
